Overview

The Internship Challenge is a curated set of experiences designed to expose you to the critical skills you’ll need after college. This innovative virtual experience provides you a comprehensive way to assess your own professional readiness.

Immersed in this narrative, you will attempt to complete 2-week rotational assignments with up to six different corporate groups. In each rotation, you will receive simulated weekly tasks to support that division's priority initiatives. You will receive ample guidance and instructional resources to help aid you in the completion of each task.

Weeks 1 & 2

Human Resources*

Get introduced to the company. Experience traditional onboarding tasks & assessments while you learn about professional expectations and common corporate benefits.

*Performing well during this rotation qualifies you to continue.

Weeks 3 & 4

Product Management

Decide what the company builds. Get involved in strategic decisions around project prioritization and help build a roadmap for execution.

Weeks 5 & 6

Engineering

Design what the company builds. Learn about the frameworks used to structure technology work and write requirements for a new solution.

Weeks 7 & 8

Marketing

Share what the company builds. Dive into the world of advertising data and earn yourself an analytics credential.

Weeks 9 & 10

Operations

Run what the company builds. Leverage common business tools to analyze operational data and help make improvements.

Weeks 11 & 12

Customer Success

Nurture the company’s relationships. Learn how to manage relationships using technology and triage an influx of client inquiries.

FAQs

  • No, there are zero fees for verified students and you won’t need to purchase anything to participate.

  • The tasks are designed to be manageable within the timeframe allotted by individuals with at least a high school education. Some resources are provided to preempt any questions; however, it is up to the student to demonstrate individual initiative and intellectual curiosity to fill in any gaps that remain in order to complete the assignment.

  • Schools have approved this Challenge for credit in the past, however it is incumbent upon you to research and manage. You will need to work within the information we provide you as part of the standard program. We cannot support extensive administrative burdens.

  • Depending on your existing familiarity with the tasks assigned, no more than 10-15 hours per week. You are able to complete this work however it best meets your schedule provided you meet the weekly deadline for all assignments of Friday @ 11:59PM ET.

  • It is up to the intern to evaluate if their schedule and existing commitments can be managed along with this program. You are given ample time to complete each task. There are no extensions, days off, or opportunities for make-up.

  • This program is designed to serve many students concurrently, which is only possible by standardizing and automating all of the key interactions throughout the 12 week simulation. While this is an independent exercise for you, the full effort of the organization is behind designing the best experience possible.

  • The Challenge is structured as an on-demand program, allowing new registrants to begin every Monday. Sign-up whenever you are able to confidently participate in the program!
